中央人民广播电台是中华人民共和国国家广播电台，是中国最具影响力的综合性大型传媒之一，也是世界上最大的华语广播机构。中央人民广播电台创办于1940年，目前办有9套专业化定位的广播频率，每天播音197小时，全国广播综合覆盖率为95.04%，是世界上拥有听众最多的广播电台之一。

    中央人民广播电台目前同时办有中国广播网、银河网络电台、有线付费数字电视频道《家庭健康》、手机广播、手机电视等新媒体业务及《中国广播报》、《中国广播》、《音乐之声》、《广播歌选》等平面媒介。中央人民广播电台下属的中国广播网，是中国最大的新闻音频网站，实现9套广播节目网上直播和点播，自办新闻、体育、汽车等50多个频道和多个分网。

    中央人民广播电台在中国各省、自治区、直辖市、计划单列市及香港特别行政区、澳门特别行政区设有39个记者站，在台湾地区派有驻点记者，与中国各地方广播电台有着紧密的联系，并同世界40多个国家和地区的广播机构建立了业务合作关系。

    中央人民广播电台拥有一流的技术设备，数字技术、卫星技术、网络技术得到普遍应用，广播节目的制作、存储、传输等全部实现了数字化，具有一流的节目制作能力和制作水平，拥有一批高素质的采编播和技术、管理人才。 

    China National Radio (CNR) is the only state radio station covering the whole country and is the largest Chinese language broadcasting organization in the world. She has been one of the most influential mass media in China since her foundation in 1940. With 9 professional channels, CNR broadcasts a total of 197 hours per day and covers 95.04% of the country. She is one of the radio stations that hold most audiences in the world.

    Moreover, CNR also has digital radio channels, online radio “cnr.cn”, ”radio.cn”, a pay TV “family health”, and magazines  “China Broadcasts”, ”Muzine” and “Songs on Radio”, etc. With live broadcast on internet of 9 channels in China National Radio, CNR.CN is the largest news and audio frequency website in China, it has more than 50 channels and several branches including news, sports, automobiles, and so on.

    There are 39 correspondent branches in mainland and dispatched correspondents in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions. At present, CNR has developed cooperative relationship with all radio stations over provinces in China and more than 60 broadcasting organizations in the world.

    CNR also has world-class-recording technique and equipments, moreover, the digital, satellite and network technique has been applied universally. The production, storage, and transmission of radio program all achieved digitization. CNR has not only a top-ranking capability and level of program production, but also a group of high-qualified staffs in interview, edit, broadcast, technique and administration.
